MANILA, Philippines -- Barangay Ginebra star Stanley Pringle joined his community in Eastwood to salute the frontliners and health care workers who are leading the way in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In an Instagram post on Easter Sunday, Pringle showed how their community honored the medical workers.
"Thankful for all the health care frontliners! Lets all continue to come together and show our support for them. Prayers up for everyone, stay safe and God bless us all!" Pringle wrote.
Pringle showed how buildings in Eastwood displayed banners thanking the frontliners, whom he called "our heroes."
"To all doctors, nurses, health care workers and frontliners risking their lives and who's here to work for all of us, we want to show you all our support and love," said Pringle.
The PBA has been active in raising funds for health care workers, with Pringle's Ginebra teammate, Japeth Aguilar, donating masks for the frontliners. Several players also came together to ensure that the league's gameday crew were being taken care of while all PBA activities are suspended.
