That's another win for aspiring boxer Jimuel Pacquiao.
Manny Pacquiao's son stopped Miguel Egan in the second round of their semi-amateur bout at Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City on Saturday, as reported by ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo.
The younger Pacquiao used a 1-2 combo to put Egan to the seat of his pants.
He was happy with the win especially after undergoing a month of intensive training.
“I won, mom and dad!” he exclaimed after the win against an opponent 8 years his senior.
Pacquiao, 18, who wants to follow in his father’s footsteps, has previously fought his schoolmate Lucas Carson in February.
He also knocked down Carson in 2 rounds.
The elder Pacquiao has been supportive of his son’s dream and was previously seen giving pointers while the latter was training.
The young boxer said he wants to represent the Philippines in international competitions. — With a report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News
