Lou Williams scored on a tiebreaking drive to put Atlanta up with 58 seconds left, and the short-handed Hawks pulled out a 105-101 victory against the host Charlotte Hornets on Sunday afternoon.

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 32 points, making eight 3-point shots, and Clint Capela had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Hawks, who moved ahead of Charlotte and into fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Charlotte didn't score in the last two minutes as the Hawks ended the game on a 16-4 run, including Williams' basket, which gave Atlanta a 103-101 lead.

Miles Bridges scored 23 points, Terry Rozier 18 and Devonte' Graham 16 for Charlotte, which was trying to complete a three-game series sweep of the Hawks. Brad Wanamaker had 13 points in a reserve role, posting a pair of driving layups during the team's fourth-quarter surge.

Atlanta was without scoring leader Trae Young, who was ruled out in the pregame because of a left-calf contusion after a 42-point outing two days earlier against Chicago. Danilo Gallinari sat out the same game with a sore right foot after scoring 22 points in Atlanta's victory, adding to the team's physical ailments.

On Sunday, Atlanta's Brandon Goodwin had 17 points and eight assists and Williams added 13 points off the bench.

The Hawks saw a big lead vanish before rallying for a 99-99 tie with less than three minutes remaining.

Bogdanovic finished 8-for-16 on 3-point attempts. He made two free throws for the final margin of victory with 6.3 seconds left.

The Hornets were playing in their first home game after a 4-2 road trip.

The Hawks broke out to a 17-point lead, but that was whittled to 52-45 by halftime. Charlotte scored 13 points off eight first-half Atlanta turnovers to climb back in the game.

Bogdanovic had 12 first-half points and scored Atlanta's first 11 points of the second half, so the margin grew to 63-54 before a big run for the Hornets.

Charlotte went ahead 69-68 and held the lead at 10 points with less than seven minutes remaining.
