MANILA - National University made quick work of De La Salle University on Sunday to rack up their tenth win in a row in the UAAP Season 81 men's volleyball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.

With Bryan Bagunas leading the way, the Bulldogs cruised to a 25-20, 25-21, 25-16 triumph over the Green Spikers in just an hour and 12 minutes.

Now with an 10-1 win-loss record, the defending champions are already assured of at least a playoff for a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final 4.

Bagunas scored 23 points, going 21-of-34 on kills, while adding 12 excellent receptions for a solid two-way performance. Angelo Almendras added 11 markers for the Bulldogs, who have not lost since dropping their season-opener to Far Eastern University.

Cris Dumago and John Delos Reyes scored 8 points each for La Salle, which dropped to 4-7 in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Far Eastern University is now through to the Final 4 after a 25-18, 25-19, 25-12 triumph over University of the East.

The Tamaraws improved to 9-2, and are also on track for a twice-to-beat edge in the Final 4.

Jude Garcia (11) and JP Bugaoan (10) reached double digits, as FEU needed just 66 minutes to dismiss the Red Warriors. They tallied a whopping 12 kill blocks in three sets, against just one for UE.

Lloyd Josafat and Angelu Alba were UE's leading scorers, with six points each. The Red Warriors dropped to 2-9.
