ABS-CBN's TJ Manotoc recently caught up with Jordan Clarkson at the Oracle Arena where the Filipino-American NBA player shared his thoughts about compatriot players Kai Sotto and Jalen Green.
"I look forward to watch (Green) grow as a player and hopefully maybe step in the NBA court, make a name for himself," said Clarkson, who now plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sotto's move to train abroad will be great for the his future, Clarkson said.
"It's good for him, for him to learn something different. Being around the game here in the States, and Europe. It's gonna be good for his growth," said Clarkson.
He vowed to support the Philippines' campaign in the coming FIBA World Cup, where he hopes to join his fellow Gilas Pilipinas players.
"If anything happens I'll be there to support. If I play If I don't, I mean I do want to play, we'll see how it all works out. Like I said I'll be there to support," said Clarkson.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas is appealing to FIBA to consider classifying Clarkson as a Filipino local.
If that happens, Gilas will be able to field both naturalized player Andray Blatche and Clarkson against other teams in the FIBA World Cup.
