San Miguel Alab Pilipinas' bid to defend their ASEAN Basketball League came to an end after the erstwhile champions were eliminated by the Hong Kong Eastern Basketball team on Wednesday night.
Alab bowed to Hong Kong, 102-84, in Game 2 of their best-of-3 quarterfinals.
Alab trailed Hong Kong by as much as 29 points and failed to recover before a packed crowd at the Southorn Stadium, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
Ray Parks Jr. and company also lost to the Eastern Team when they first battled in Cebu.
Marcus Elliot scored 29 points for Hong Kong, while O'Darien Bassett added 28.
These were too much for Alab, which was led by PJ Ramos' 19 points.
Parks scored 19, while Renaldo Balkman had 16.
