Defending ONE bantamweight champion Kevin Belingon believes he is better equipped at fighting his arch rival Bibiano Fernandes, now that he is facing the Brazilian grappler for the third time.
Belingon has fought Fernandes twice, losing via a kimura in the first one and winning by split decision in the second.
“The Silencer” has no doubt that he will come out victorious again in the rematch that will take place on Sunday in Tokyo, Japan.
“I’ve trained very hard and fans will be happy with my performance. Looking back at our previous encounters, I know my opponent well now. I think he knows who I am also,” said Belingon.
But the Team Lakay fighter hopes he will be able to score a thrilling finish against Fernandes this time.
“I’m looking forward to putting on another show and hopefully get the knockout,” he said.
Fernandes, for his part, said he is willing to do everything to prove he is the better fighter.
He even asserted that he was the winner of their second bout. The Brazilian is confident he will start a new reign as world champion.
“In this third fight, I’m going to take the belt back. I’m going to prove to everyone that I’m still the best in the world,” said the Brazilian grappler.
