Mayweather likewise paid his respects to his uncle Roger Mayweather, who was instrumental in his successful boxing career.

The elder Mayweather, a former world champion himself, was considered one of boxing’s best trainers. But he wasn’t able to man his nephew's corner toward the end of his Hall-of-Fame career due to various health issues.

Mayweather previously cited the damage and punishment boxing did to his uncle's health, which was one of the reasons for his early retirement from boxing.
