MANILA -- Aaron Black has formally joined his father PBA legend Norman Black by signing with the Meralco Bolts.
Black and another draftee, Michael Canete, signed with the Bolts to complete the 15-man lineup just before the league called for the temporary halt of the games due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Team manager Paolo Trillo told sports website Spin that Black and Canete were each signed to a one-year deal on Tuesday last week.
Black was picked in the second round (18th overall) of the 2019 PBA draft. Canete came in during the third-round selection at No. 29.
The signing made the Black the third father and son tandem in the PBA after former Petron coach Ato Agustin and son Marc and PBA great Robert Jaworski Sr. and son Dudut.
