(UPDATED) A shorthanded San Miguel Alab Pilipinas absorbed an 84-114 defeat at the hands of the Macau Black Bears Friday night in the ASEAN Basketball League at the Foshan International Sports and Cultural Center.
Without injured players Lawrence Domingo, Brandon Rosser and Renaldo Balkman, Alab found it hard to match against high-scoring Black Bears Mikh McKinney and Dewarick Spencer.
McKinney had 43 points while Spencer shot 42 points.
It was McKinney who paced Macau in the first three quarters to a 95-60 lead, an advantage insurmountable for Alab who had to do without Balkman.
Macau now has a record of 13-11.
PJ Ramos scored 24 points for Alab, which also got 12 from Ray Parks.
It was the first time Alab lost back-to-back this season. They fell to 18-6 and is danger of losing the top seed to Formosa (17-6) in the playoffs.
