MANILA, Philippines – The Turkmenistan squad believes it has the Philippine Azkals “figured out.”

Brimming with confidence, the Turkmenistan football coach believes his team can get past the Azkals in their AFC Challenge Cup face-off on Friday at the Dashrath Stadium in Nepal.

"I have seen all the matches that Philippines played in this championship. I can say that we are ready to play against Azkals. We respect our opponent but we will win the match," said Turkic coach Yazguly Hojageldiyev in Goal Nepal.

Hojageldiyev already has his eyes at the 2015 Asian Cup in Australia, where the eventual Challenge Cup titlist will be fielded to compete.

Turkmenistan, however, will have to beat the Azkals in the semis before even reaching the Challenge Cup finals.

"This is a way to Asian Cup and we are playing semifinal match. We don't want to miss this golden opportunity. We will try our best to create history by reaching to the final," he said.

Turkmenistan ranks lower than the Philippine Azkals in the FIFA world rankings.

The Turkic state is listed 166 in the world, while the Azkals are ranked 156th.

The Philippines vs Turkmenistan semifinal match will be aired live by ABS-CBN.

The coverage on Studio 23 will begin at 4 pm (kick off at 4:15 pm).
