San Miguel Alab Pilipinas exacted revenge on the Macau Black Bears on Friday night by pulling off a 101-96 win over the visiting team in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan.
Puerto Rican big man PJ Ramos fired 29 points and brought down 13 rebounds for Alab, which turned the tables on the Bears after trailing in the first two quarters.
Renaldo Balkman backed it up with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Ray Parks Jr. tallied 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
These were more than enough to offset Filipino-American Mikh McKinney of Macau.
McKinney had an outstanding game of 50 points for the Bears, who were leading 57-46 at the half.
Macau hiked the advantage to 72-62 but Alab unloaded a 21-5 run and stopped the Bears on their tracks.
McKinney still managed to pull Macau to within 91-95 in the final 3 minutes, but that was the closest they got.
Alab now has 19 wins in 23 games.
