Joseph Sedurifa knocked down 3 3-pointers in overtime to lift Makati Super Crunch past Manila Frontrow Stars 78-75 in the deciding game of the best-of-3 North semifinals of the MPBL Lakan Cup at San Andres Gym on Friday.

Despite seeing its 8-point lead wiped out, Makati held its ground in the extra 5 minutes to win and set up a North finals clash with reigning champion San Juan Knights.

Jun Baloria led Makati with 16 points, but it was Sedurifa who made his mark in overtime, scoring 9 of Makati's 11 points there.

After trailing Super Crunch at halftime 39-33, Stars came roaring back in the third quarter to outscore the visitors 23-15.

It was neck and neck in the fourth and Chris Bitoon's floater forced a 67-all score. Joshua Torralba connected on a triple for Makati, but it wasn't counted by the officials, sending the game to overtime.

Sedurifa then took charge in overtime for the victory.

"Akala talaga namin counted 'yung shot ni Josh, nagsisigawan nga kami sa replay. Pero when we huddled together ito 'yun. We've been wanting this and hindi kami pwedeng bumitaw. We know Manila is a strong team but we're really, really stronger together," said Makati coach Beaujing Acot.

Bitoon paced Manila with 16 points.
