June Mar Fajardo scored 35 points and finished with a double-double, and San Miguel Beer eliminated TNT after a 106-93 win in the PBA Philippine Cup at Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.

The defending champion Beermen, seeded first after the elimination around, advance to the semifinals.

Fajardo, who scored 12 of his total points in a strong first quarter, also delivered the finishing touches for San Miguel, making a pair of baskets in the final 3:17, including a nonchalant turnaround jumper over Kelly Williams that keyed a 10-3 windup by the Beermen.

Up 96-90, San Miguel staved off TNT's rally with a couple of defensive stops — a steal by Arwind Santos, then another by Marcio Lassiter that led to buckets by Santos and Chris Ross, respectively.

"I (was) really worried about this game," San Miguel coach Leo Austria said, referring to a dangerous TNT squad that looked better than its 6-6 record.

"I have to credit to the boys, especially June Mar. He was really focused in this game."

Fajardo ended up with 11 rebounds and 15-of-19 shooting from the field.

Lassiter contributed 20 points, while Santos registered 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks before getting ejected on account of a second technical foul for being involved in a fracas with 80 seconds left in the game.

A flagrant foul-1 was slapped on TNT's Jericho Cruz in the same play.

Troy Rosario and Jayson Castro each finished with 19 points to lead TNT.
