Manny Pacquiao is still on a high over his successful trip in the United Kingdom where he promoted his May 2 superfight with British superstar Ricky Hatton.

The Filipino boxer has already arrived in the US Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) after his two-day promo blitz in UK. He said he still can’t forget his experience in England.

“Amazing, the Filipino crowd there in Hatton's place,” said Pacquiao. “Napakabait ng kababayan kong Pilipino sa London.”

Even Pacquiao’s handler Top Rank Promotions chief Bob Arum has appreciated the turn out of the Filipino’s fight fans in England.

“Tremendously successful, we had great crowds, Manny stole the show. There are so many Filipinos both in Manchester and London," said Arum.

Pacquiao will rest for a while before immersing himself to an intensive training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California.

The General Santos native is expected to train smart and hard once he begins his camp.

“We’re not going to deal with his strength. We’re not going to fight him on the inside,” Roach earlier said in a report. “We’re going to fight smart and box this guy.”

Roach said Pacquiao’s training intensity is already a “given”. He even conceded that he sometimes had to pull the reins to keep the Filipino from overtraining. With a report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News
