MANILA, Philippines – Davao Occidental-Cocolife is bracing for the worst as Mark Yee is doubtful for Game 3 of their quarterfinals series against Bicol-LCC Stores on Wednesday.

Yee left Game 2 with 3:05 remaining in the second quarter, and was initially diagnosed with a torn plantaris muscle in his right knee.

Bicol went on to win the game, 84-81, knotting the best-of-3 sereis at one game apiece in the 2019-20 Chooks-to-Go/MPBL Lakan South playoffs.

Yee had 5 rebounds and 2 assists in just 9 minutes and 39 seconds of action.

The result of Yee's MRI will be released on Wednesday afternoon, just hours before Game 3. The big man said he will leave his fate up to head coach Don Dulay, though the 38-year-old is more than willing to play through pain for his team.

"Sa ngayon, nakadepende kay Coach kung ipapasok niya ako. Pero kung ako, bahala na si God. Siya na bahala sa akin," said Yee, who averaged 14.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in the elimination round.

With or without him, Yee urged his teammates to play as one, especially as a loss will spell the end for their season.

"Sa playoffs pantay pantay na lahat e, walang number one o number eight," Yee said.

"Dadaanin namin sa dasal at tiwala kay God, sasamahan din namin ng sipag at tiyaga. Magtutulungan lang talaga kami, walang impossible," he added.

Yee vowed to lift Davao Occidental whether inside the court or on the bench.

"Goal po namin lahat makuha 'yung National Championship po kaya dadaanin naming lahat sa dasal."
