MANILA, Philippines—The NCAA intends to resume its events on March 16, upon the approval of the policy board.

The league management committee on Wednesday announced it has proposed to resume events after announcing an indefinite suspension of activities on February 13 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"Part of our decision is we shall be consulting CHED, DepEd, DOH, and together with our school physicians whether it's safe to push through with our schedules, and they're okay with it," said mancom chairman Peter Cayco of Arellano University.

If the policy board approves the proposal, events in indoor volleyball, football, lawn tennis, soft tennis, and girls' volleyball will resume on the aforementioned date.

Track and field will be on March 16 to 21, while kiddies' basketball is scheduled for April 25. Beach volleyball takes place on April 29.

The cheerleading competition, meanwhile, will push through on March 30.
