While Manny Pacquiao patiently waits for a response from Floyd Mayweather Jr., another American boxer wants to join the sweepstakes.
Errol Spence Jr., reigning IBF welterweight king, said he is willing to take on the Filipino champion anywhere.
“I’ll fight Manny Pacquiao anywhere, definitely in the Philippines and anywhere else,” said Spence in Now Boxing.
The fighting senator currently owns the WBA “regular” welterweight crown. He is considering a suitable alternative to Mayweather in case the “Money May” refuses to fight.
Spence, like Mayweather, is being handled by Premier Boxing Champions’ top honcho Al Haymon.
Spence will defend his title against Mikey Garcia this March. He promises to pursue Pacquiao once he gets past the Mexican-American.
“Right now I’m worried about Mikey Garcia after that you can ask me all the questions on Pacquiao,” said Spence.
