MANILA, Philippines -- The NLEX Road Warriors have confirmed that they are shipping star center Poy Erram to the TNT KaTropa, in a trade that also involves the Blackwater Elite.
The team announced on Monday night that the trade proposal has been submitted to the PBA Office.
Spin.ph earlier reported that TNT will send Marion Magat and a future first round pick in exchange to Blackwater, in exchange for a future first round pick as well.
The Elite will then send that first round pick as well as another selection, along with Anthony Semerad, to NLEX in return for Erram.
Erram will then be dealt to TNT, with Blackwater receiving Ed Daquioag and another first round pick in exchange.
Erram averaged 10.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup, wherein the Road Warriors earned the No. 1 seed but fell to NorthPort in the quarterfinals.
"Our organization recognizes Poy's contributions towards our team's growth in 2019," NLEX said in a statement. "Beyond basketball, Poy has also lent his time and efforts to the advocacies and community-building activities of NLEX Corporation, from representing the team at the 2019 Panagbenga Festival, to lunches with NLEX employees."
"We thank Poy for his hard work, sacrifice and dedication to our organization, and wish him the best as he continues his career in the PBA," it added.
"As an organization, we continue to look towards the future and place the NLEX Road Warriors in a position for success in the PBA."
