MANILA -- The Philippine women’s national football will be meeting Chinese Taipei, Iran and Palestine in Round 2 of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament 2020 Asian qualifiers.
Based on the draw results for Round 2, the Malditas were clustered together with the three countries in Group C.
Palestine will host the group competition, which will take place on April 1-9.
The Malditas finished second in their group after falling short of a sweep in the first round of the competition. They settled for a 3-1 record after losing to Chinese Taipei, 5-0, last November.
But the result was good enough to propel the Pinays to the second round.
Whoever tops the competition in this round will advance to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
