Defending champion Arellano University booked its second straight championship appearance after a quick work of Jose Rizal University, 25-13, 25-20, 25-17, in the Final Four of the 93rd NCAA women’s volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Chiefs set up a best-of-three championship showdown against first time finalist San Beda University starting February 16.

Arellano U cruised in the first two sets before encountering a tough resistance from the Lady Bombers, who were in their first semis stint since the return of their volleyball program in 2008. With troika of Regine Arocha, Jovie Prado and rookie Necole Ebuen leading the way, the Lady Chiefs made their move midway in the third to walk away with a return ticket to the Finals.
