Filipina junior tennis star Alex Eala and partner Priska Madelyn Nugroho of Indonesia upset the top-seeded tandem of Kamilla Bartone of Latvia and Linda Fruhvirtova of the Czech Republic in three sets to advance into the finals of the Australian Open's junior girls' doubles tournament on Thursday.

It was a slow start for Eala and Nugroho as they got blown out in the opening set, 1-6.

Things were tight in the second set, as Eala and Nugroho played catch-up for most of the set before taking the 7-5 win.

In the tiebreaking third set, Bartone and Fruhvirtova took an early 7-1 advantage before Eala and Nugroho clawed back to make it 8-4. Eala and Nugroho ran away in the final moments, racking off 6 straight points to win the tiebreaker, 8-10, and win the match.

Eala and Nugroho will meet the tandem of Slovenia's Ziva Falkner and the United Kingdom's Matilda Mutavdzic in the final on Friday, January 31.
