Erik Morales approved of what he saw in Manny Pacquiao when the Filipino world champion beat American champion Adrien Broner over the weekend.
Morales, the former Mexican world titlist who lost to Pacquiao twice in their trilogy, said Pacquiao will do better should he and Floyd Mayweather Jr. battle again.
"He did well, he looked complete, and in really good condition doing good work. He looks very good," Morales said in an interview posted on Fight Hub TV.
A supposedly injured Pacquiao lost to Mayweather via unanimous decision in 2015. The fight broke PPV records in the US, with 4.6 million buys and more than $410 million in revenue, surpassing the previous $150 million recorded in the Mayweather-Saúl Álvarez bout.
"I think Manny looks more complete than Floyd. He's less rundown even though he got knocked out and had hard fights, he had a lot of time off," Morales said.
"He has a better chance to win than he did in the first fight against Floyd . . . It's a totally different fight."
