Talk of retirement was definitively quashed by Manny Pacquiao immediately after he defeated Adrien Broner via unanimous decision in Las Vegas on Sunday, (Saturday, US time).

"I really don't believe that my career is over," he told Showtime ringside reporter Jim Gray at MGM Grand.

"I proved it in my last fight, and now I proved it again at the age of 40. Manny Pacquiao's journey still continues."

Pacquiao's career seems to have caught a second wind, based on his past two fights.

After he bludgeoned Argentinean world champion Lucas Matthysse in July to capture the welterweight title, Pacquiao convincingly defeated 4-weight-division champion Adrien Broner.

Although Pacquiao didn't come away with a knockout, he was dominant against Broner, battling as though he were way younger than his 40 years old.

Pacquiao looks rejuvenated to the point the he's open to taking on Mayweather again.

After the in-ring interview with Showtime's Jim Gray, he reiterated his stance during the post-match press conference.
