University of Perpetual Help head coach Macky Cariño is still searching for the same Lady Altas squad that played in the championship series last season.

But judging from how he saw his squad come back from a one set deficit and from four points down midway in the fourth set, Cariño felt his team is at least back on the right path.

The Lady Altas bounced back from an opening day defeat by beating San Sebastian College 29-31, 25-13, 25-20, 25-20 in NCAA Season 95 volleyball at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Saturday.

Bianca Tripoli finished with game-high 17 points, including 15 off hits, while Jhona Rosal had 14 markers and 20 digs for the Las Piñas-based squad.

The Lady Stags absorbed their second straight defeat in as many games.

Meanwhile, the grand slam-seeking Altas demolished the Stags, 25-18, 25-15, 25-21, for a share of the lead in the men’s division.
