MANILA, Philippines – AMA Online Education will have the first pick when the 2019 PBA D-League Draft gets underway on Tuesday at the PBA office in Libis.
The Titans claimed the top pick after finishing in the cellar of both the Aspirants' and Foundation Cup last year, and coach Mark Herrera has his sights set on some of the big names in the pool of 153 potential rookies.
ASEAN Basketball League veteran Joshua Munzon, University of the Philippines star Juan Gomez de Liano, Adamson University forward Sean Manganti, and De La Salle University big man Santi Santillan headline the big names in the list, giving AMA plenty of choices.
This marks the third straight time that the Titans will select first in the D-League draft. They took Jeron Teng in 2016, and Owen Graham in 2017.
Batangas-EAC owns the second pick, while Centro Escolar University selects third.
A record 20 teams, including 15 school-based squads, will participate in the 2019 PBA D-League season that opens on February 14 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Foundation Cup champion Go for Gold-CSB will defend its title against a tough field bannered by collegiate champions Ateneo de Manila University of the UAAP, San Beda University of the NCAA, St. Clare College of NAASCU, and Diliman College of UCBL.
