Filipino strawweight Jeremy Miado has a chance to extend his run when he battles Japan's Senzo Ikeda in the main card of ONE: Heavy Hitters on January 14 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Thailand-based Miado also carries extra motivation in training with the presence of his wife and kid in Bangkok.
Miado said he was able to get the much needed preparation as he will take on an aggressive wrestler in Ikeda.
A dominant win against Ikeda will most likely land Miado a chance to face any of the top 5 fighters in the strawweight division.
If that happens, Miado said he hopes to take on another Japanese in Hiroba Minowa.
"Nakadalawang sunod ng top five na ang natalo niya si Minowa, so maganda na matalo ko siya," said Miado.
