Los Angeles Clippers point guard Austin Rivers will miss at least two more weeks as he nurses a right ankle impingement, the team announced Thursday.
Rivers will continue to receive treatment and be re-evaluated in two weeks.
The 25-year-old already missed the team's last two games because of the ailment and will sit out a Thursday matchup against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder.
Rivers originally sustained the injury last Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers when he lost his footing in a collision with teammate Sam Dekker and fell to the floor awkwardly.
The sixth-year guard has already reached a career high in games started (30) this season and is averaging personal bests in points (15.8 per game), assists (3.6) and steals (1.3) for the 17-19 Clippers.
