MANILA, Philippines – The Petro Gazz Angels on Thursday announced that they have signed three new players to boost their campaign for the upcoming season of the Premier Volleyball League.
The Angels confirmed on social media that they have acquired Grethcel Soltones, Jerrili Malabanan, and Ivy Perez, all of whom played in the Philippine Superliga last year.
Soltones and Malabanan spent the past volleyball season with PLDT in the PSL, where they were coached by Roger Gorayeb. The pair previously suited up for PayMaya in the 2018 season of the PVL, also under Gorayeb's tutelage.
They were also a part of the Bali Pure squad that won the 2017 PVL Open Conference.
Perez, a setter, played club volleyball for Foton. This marks her first stint in the PVL.
The three are expected to play big roles in Petro Gazz's drive to defend its crown in the PVL Reinforced Conference.
