Birds fly over the Lago Cerro, colored by alleged chemical disposals from a tannery located on its banks, in Limpio, 25 km northeast of Asuncion, Paraguay, on Thursday. According to experts from the National University Multidisciplinary Lab, the color of the water is due to the presence of heavy metals like iron, chromium, and zinc, among others, commonly used in the tanning process.
