MANILA - A lucky overseas Filipino worker (OFW) based in Jeddah won a brand new Renault car in a Christmas raffle draw at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Thursday afternoon.

Korooti, a private company, in coordination with Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), launched the holiday promo for the almost a million customers who are using the Korooti special discount cards offered worldwide.

According to Tariq Khalil Farekh, executive officer of Korooti, the raffle is their way of showing appreciation for the millions of OFWs based in Saudi and United Arab Emirates.

NAIA-3 Terminal Manager Ricardo Medalla Jr., along with other MIAA officials, led the electronic draw. The winner was chosen through the control number of their Korooti card.

The winner was identified as Juvelyn P. Labajo. She has the option to claim the car or convert it to cash.

The Renault car has a market value of about P1 million.

As of publication, Labajo has yet to be informed of winning the raffle.
