The Filipino-American suspected of sending pipe bombs to Democratic leaders pleaded not guilty on Thursday, November 15, to charges carrying a potential mandatory penalty of life in prison.
Cesar Sayoc pleaded not guilty to all 30 charges against him in a federal court in New York.
The Florida man’s trial date has been set for July 15, 2019.
Sayoc is accused of sending 16 improvised explosive devices to numerous critics of President Donald Trump, increasing tension and paranoia just before the midterm elections.
None of the devices exploded.
Sayoc was arrested last October 26.
