TOKYO - Japan confirmed on Friday at least 1,307 new coronavirus cases, marking a record daily increase for the third consecutive day.
The figure follows 1,260 and 1,305 infections reported the previous 2 days, as a resurgence of infections has been expanding beyond Tokyo.
