MANILA -- (UPDATE) The remains of 2 Filipinas abducted and killed in Cyprus earlier this year arrived in the Philippines on Saturday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said Sunday it received the remains of Marry Rose Infante and Maricar Arquiola in Manila.

The remains of another slain Filipina, Arian Palanas Lozano, meanwhile, have yet to arrive in the country.

The 3 migrant workers were reported missing between 2017 and 2018 but were later found to be victims of self-confessed killer.

Greek-Cypriot army officer named Nikos Metaxas, who also confessed to killing Infante's 6-year-old daughter, has been handed down 7 life sentences last month after pleading guilty to killing 5 women, including the 3 Filipinas, and 2 children.

Infante, who hails from Isabela, worked in Cyprus for 13 years as a domestic helper, while Arquiola, who hails from Ilocos Sur, worked for 4 years.
