MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Thursday 6 more Filipinos abroad were sick with COVID-19, raising the total tally of overseas infections among Filipino nationals to 2,461.
The respiratory illness has also killed one more overseas Filipino, bringing the death toll to 285, the agency said.
The number of those who survived from COVID-19 is also up by 3 to 861, it added.
To date, some 1,315 Filipino patients abroad are undergoing treatment for COVID-19, broken down as follows by region: 124 in the Asia Pacific, 437 in Europe, 566 in the Middle East and Africa, and 188 in the Americas.
In the Philippines, COVID-19 has so far sickened 13,343 people, with 846 deaths and 3,000 recoveries.
