CALIFORNIA - A 28-year-old Filipino woman died after she was stabbed to death by her own cousin following an argument in Pittsburgh, California on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
According to police reports, family members who tried to intervene called 911.
Officers arrived at the home of the Filipino-American suspect, 29-year-old Henry Brodie III, and found the victim, Kirstiene Catapusan, with stab wounds on her upper body.
She was reportedly rushed to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
The District Attorney’s Office has filed murder charges against Brodie.
Authorities said that during investigation, Brodie admitted to stabbing Catapusan multiple times.
He is detained at a Martinez facility on a $2-million bail. He was arraigned on Thursday.
