A surveillance video captured a burglar entering the home of a Filipino family in Vallejo, California early Sunday morning while a woman and her two young children slept.
The video showed the red-hooded suspect peeking into the bedroom where the 4-year-old and 1-year-old were sleeping.
The children’s aunt, Schendelle Bohulano, said she was freaked out by the video. The incident, she said, has been hard on her sister and family.
“My sister and her family don't feel safe as well. She's been constantly looking outside at night. It's hard for her to sleep. My brother-in-law sleeps downstairs now because he's scared for it to happen again," she said.
Bohulano said that the suspect -- who is still at large -- stole an iPad, beat speakers, and an Apple desktop computer.
According to police, the burglar left behind gloves which have been sent for DNA testing.
Bohulano is confident the police will be able to bring him to justice.
"I feel like this is not his first rodeo. I feel like there's more to come from him. So I'm confident the police will find this guy, eventually," she said.
Footage from the neighbor's surveillance camera captured the burglar appear near the house.
Meanwhile, Bohulano said the family installed a new home protection system and bought a German Sheperd since the burglary.
