DENMARK — A well-known singer in the Filipino community in Copenhagen qualified for the semifinals of a talent contest here that's similar to the popular "Got Talent" competition.

On Saturday, Jackie Pajo performed live on "Danmark har Talent," where the 33-year-old Davao native wore a stunning chiffon dress that almost covered the entire stage as she mesmerized the audience with her rendition of Whitney Houston's “I Will Always Love You.”

“Thank you so much sa lahat po ng mga sumuporta, at pumunta dito, and nagkakaisa pa din tayo kahit hindi tayo nakasali sa finals. But it’s a big achievement. Kasi napapatunayan natin yung pagkakaisa natin dito sa Denmark,” Pajo said.

Pajo has been living in Denmark for seven years. Between being a full-time student, businesswoman, wife and mother to three children, she still finds time to develop and enjoy her singing talent online.

Pajo has about 30,000 followers on her Facebook page. An active user of Smule singing app, she has 4,375 subscribers on her YouTube account where she sings Tagalog, English and Visayan songs, as well as some of her own compositions.

During her audition last month, she received four "yesses" from the judges after she sang her rendition of "Power of Love" by Celine Dion.

Filipino-Faroese Dane brothers, Josva Meinhard A Kosini, 12, Michael Louis A Kosini, 10, together with Romanian Guilia Roxanne Matei, 11, also failed to secure a place in the finals. The trio Swagger performed their version of Puff Daddy and Faith Evans' song "I'll Be Missing You," giving the song an anti-bullying twist.
