MANILA- A Filipino tourist has been missing in Bali, Indonesia since Christmas, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Wednesday.
Ella Balmaceda Paaño, a 25-year-old resort worker in Palawan, left for Bali on Dec. 22, 2018 and was supposed to return to the Philippines on Dec. 28.
Her family reported losing contact with her on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the DFA said.
The DFA added that Paaño's mobile phone could no longer be reached and that her last social media post was on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta has already filed a missing person report for Paaño. The DFA meanwhile has also requested for the help of Indonesian authorities in looking for the Filipina tourist.
