Women protest Rice Tariffication Law

Women members of the National Movement For Food Sovereignty (NMFS) stage a protest in front of the Department of Agriculture headquarters in Quezon City on Tuesday. The group called for the immediate repeal of the Rice Tariffication Law, which allegedly resulted in low buying prices of palay and falling incomes of around 2.4 million rice farmers in the country. Support for VP Leni

Supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo gather outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday for its decision on the electoral protest filed by former Senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. But the high court, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, deferred ruling on the protest. Solid for Marcos

First Dalian train deployed

Commuters on Tuesday get ready to board a Dalian train at the Kamuning station of the Metro Rail Transport Line 3 (MRT-3) during its first run, as the China-made trains will only be deployed during off-peak hours from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Aquino administration purchased 48 Dalian trains for P3.8 billion, most of which have never been used because of compatibility issues. This is the first Dalian train added to the regular fleet of the MRT-3 even as the trains arrived in the country in 2015. Jire Carreon, ABS-CBN News
