The mud festival of Nueva Ecija

Groups call for deprivatization of water services

Protesters picket in front of the main office of Manila Water and Maynilad in Quezon City on Monday, calling for the return of water utilities to public control as a supply shortage continued. Most of the garlic sold in the country are imported with locally grown garlic taking up only six percent market share. The Department of Agriculture said it was thankful for recent social media posts drumming up market awareness and interest in garlic produced in Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro which will hopefully translate to a bigger demand for locally grown garlic.
