SC asked to junk Meralco deals

Bayan Muna chairman and senatorial candidate Neri Colmenares files a petition before the Supreme Court in Manila on Thursday, March 21, 2019, to block Meralco’s pending power supply agreement petitions at the Energy Regulatory Commission, saying this would lead to higher power costs. Communist peace panel consultant arrested

National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultant Renante Gamara raises his fist as he is transferred to the Southern Police District Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Thursday. Gamara, among NDFP consultants released for peace talks between communist rebels and the government, was arrested along with Arturo Balagat for illegal possession of firearms by a joint police-military task force in Imus Cavite. After the ‘super worm equinox moon’

A day after the "super worm equinox moon" treated Manila sky gazers, the moon still cuts through the night as it sits backdropped against the statue of Jesus Christ at the Church of the Gesú at the Ateneo de Manila University.
