A Thai soldier who killed at least 26 people before being shot dead in a mall by commandos went on the rampage because of a debt dispute, the kingdom's premier said on February 9, offering the first official speculation for the motive of an "unprecedented" shooting spree. Solicitor General Jose Calida files a quo warranto petition vs ABS-CBN and its subsidiary ABS-CBN Convergence at the Supreme Court on Monday. Victory for South Korean film 'Parasite'

Cast and crew of the Korean movie "Parasite" receive the Best Picture award at the at the 92nd Academy Awards in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on Sunday. Press freedom advocates show support for ABS-CBN

Protesters gather at the Boy Scout Circle on Monday and call for the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise. Buhay Party-List Rep. Lito Atienza called on his colleagues in the House of Representatives to act on the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN Corp. on Monday afternoon as Solicitor General Jose Calida filed a quo warranto petition earlier in the day against the media network for allegedly violating rules set by congress. LRT2 disinfects carriages against 2019-nCoV

A worker disinfects the grab rails of an LRT2 carriage at the Recto station on Monday in an effort to curb the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus.
