Sanctuary for Lolas

Members and supporters of the “Flowers for Lolas Campaign” unveil a marker at the garden sanctuary inside the Redemptorist Church in Baclaran in honor of comfort women who suffered during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines during World War II. A mass, blessing of the marker and flowers were offered to pay tribute to women victims of the Japanese wartime sexual slavery as survivors and their supporters pledge to fight for justice.
