Death by debris?

A dead sea turtle is seen amid marine debris carried by huge waves brought by southwest monsoon at the shoreline of Barangay Wawa in Nasugbu, Batangas on Friday. Global population of the marine turtles is dwindling owing to the unabated poaching for their meat, shell and eggs, while reproduction is mired by habitat destruction, accidental by-catch, ocean plastic pollution and climate change, according to DENR.
