A mother mourns

Merlyn Aquino Ragos, mother of Cpl. Winston Ragos, mourns at the wake of her son at the Libingan ng mga Bayani Mortuary Chapel in Taguig City on Saturday. Philippine Army Chief Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay has sought an impartial investigation by the National Bureau of Investigation on the fatal shooting of Ragos involving a policeman at Pasong Putik, Quezon City over an alleged quarantine violation on April 21. The incident has drawn criticism over the alleged use of excessive force against the former soldier, who was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
