Farmers' protest

Farmers from various provinces stage a protest rally on Thursday in front of the Department of Agriculture office in Quezon City calling for agrarian reform that would lead to rice sufficiency. The Philippines, which considers itself an agricultural country, may see its biggest volume of rice imports this year after the passage of the rice tariffication law.
