Pollution in the Philippines

Greenpeace campaigners Khevin Yu (top) and Rhea Mallari (bottom) hold a press conference on environmental pollution issues in Quezon City on Wednesday. According to a Greenpeace report, coal-fired plants and vehicular emissions are large contributors to pollution levels in the Philippines as data from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources show that vehicular sources account for 65 percent of air pollution in the country, primarily in Metro Manila.
