We were able to recover three of them. Unfortunately, one of the packages was intercepted by the Chinese. It was the second airdrop where the Chinese came in,&rdquo; AFP chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. said.&ldquo;When the second package was dropped, they went to the area to recover it despite the fact that our boats were already there. Nakipag-agawan pa sila. Inunahan pa tayo. They opened the package. When they saw it was only food stuff, they threw it back into the water,&rdquo; he added.Brawner said the CCG must have thought that the supplies were construction materials.&ldquo;Siguro naghahanap sila ng construction materials (They were probably looking for construction materials). Some of the supplies were recovered, but most sunk. Sayang (What a waste),&quot; he said.Brawner said China&rsquo;s actions were &quot;illegal.&quot;&quot;Hindi naman dapat ginagawa iyan in the international order. You&rsquo;re not supposed to confiscate the supplies of another country, even in war&hellip; Supplies are allowed to pass through for humanitarian reasons,&rdquo; he said.Despite the CCG&rsquo;s attempt to spoil the airdrop operation, the AFP said the mission had still been &ldquo;largely successful.&rdquo;Brawner said the military would continue supplying troops in the West Philippine Sea.&ldquo;This is a normal occurrence, &lsquo;yung rotation [and resupply]. Still, ganun pa rin. Ayaw tayong tantanan.
