At least 26 people were injured after a bus fell into a ravine in Barangay Muligin in Unisan, Quezon early Saturday morning.
The Bicol-bound DLTB bus that came from Pasay City counterflowed before it hit a bridge and fell into the six-meter ravine, Unisan police chief Rodelio Calawit said.
Only one passenger who sustained head injuries is still confined in the hospital, while the 25 other passengers have already been discharged, authorities said.
The bus driver identified as Constan Magat admitted that he was not familiar with the route as buses heading to Bicol usually take the route in Atimonan, Quezon, Calawit said.
Magat had to make a detour because a trailer truck that was involved in another mishap caused heavy traffic along the Atimonan route, police said.
DLTB bus officials have met with affected passengers at the police station in Unisan.
